Meet HCR Runner: Xavier Sol. France.
A funny anecdote:
For my 1st half marathon in Brussels, I did zero preparation, played a full 11-a-side football game the day before, ran the semi-marathon and then played in the Hêbê League in the afternoon. Obviously i could not walk for 4 days afterwards, and had to work from home…
My favourite expression:
“Ca casse pas trois pattes à un canard” – French expression literally translated this way: it does not break 3 legs of a duck. Used in the sense of: “it’s nothing special”. I like this expression because there is no clear explanation about it, various theories hardly contested by scientists… Also my girlfriend thought the expression was “ça casse pas trois pattes ET un canard“, which is even more absurd.
My favourite athlete:
Underdogs like Marc Raquil, what a finish! Enjoy!
My objective for this Brussels 20km:
Give everything and have no regrets, as well as no injury. If all fine, 1:40 would be a nice objective to reach.
