My name is Cécile, I’m 26 years old, I work at an environmental NGO called Conservation International Europe and I’ve been living here in beautiful Brussels for almost 4 years now, and I’m a huge fan of Mexican food (and a foodie in general).
1) My favourite park to run in Brussels is the Bois de la Cambre because it’s so big that you don’t have to do various loops to do a good training and because on the week-ends they close it to car traffic.
2) When I get really tired, I think of my mum who just broke her foot and how fortunate I am that I can run. But once she’ll be recovered I’ll be thinking of the huge pizza or pasta I can have afterwards.
3) For a good social community it’s important that people can gather aroud a joint passion and a joint goal (such as the Brussels 20k), because that’s really a bounding people.
4) The Red Cross is a trustworthy organization with both a medical and a social component to their mission aiming at supporting the people that are most in need. They also encourage other people to help (like their volunteers), on top of helping themselves, which maximizes their impact.
I’ll run 20km in Brussels on 28 May and I need your support for the Red Cross activities: http://20km.redcross.be/projects/hebe-cool-runnings-goes-red
