Hi! My name is Alice, aged 40 – an ideal age to start long distance running :-), working at the European Commission, DG ECHO – humanitarian aid department. I first came to Brussels in 2007 so it is my 10th anniversary here. I like discovering – places, tastes, people, activities – currently a big fun of DIY movement:-)
1) What’s your favourite park to run in Brussels and why?
My favourite park is the Parc Josaphat because it is close to where I live and because it has donkeys.
2) What’s your motivation when your legs hurt to continue training?
My motivation to continue training when my legs hurt is that I know that when I finish I’ ll feel amazing!
3) What’s needed to have a thriving social community in a city (such as Hêbê)?
What is needed to have a thriving social community in a city is engaged people that like social interaction and promoting cool ideas.
4) Why have you decided to run for the Red Cross?
I’ve decided to run for the Red Cross this year because it makes a difference for the excluded and most vulnerable people in our societies.
I’ll run 20km on 28 May and I count on YOU to support our fundraising efforts for the Red Cross activities: http://20km.redcross.be/projects/hebe-cool-runnings-goes-red
